Md Usman Ali Dazzles Watercolour Landscapes

Bengaluru: Mohammed Usman Ali, a multi-talented artist hailing from Sindhanur in Raichur district, is holding 'Varna Vilas', a solo show of 36 single-colour watercolour and 10 multicolour landscape paintings at the Chitrakala Parishat here, under the aegis of the Department of Kannada and Culture, Government of Karnataka. Wazeed Sajeed, an internationally renowned artist, inaugurated the exhibition on Monday evening. The show is on until 12th August. Prof Babu Jattakar's Three-Day Drawing Exhibition, Demonstration, Slides show and Interaction in Dharwad.

Bengaluru: Prof Babu Jattakar, veteran artist and former principal of the College of Fine Arts, Karnataka Chitrakala Parishat, is holding a three-day drawing exhibition, demonstration, slide show, and interaction at the Government Fine Arts College in Dharwad. During the three-day event under the aegis of Chitrakala Shilpi Shri DV Halabhavi National Memorial Trust, he would also be giving a live lecture-cum-demonstration to the students of the Government Fine Arts College. Interaction with the Achievers: Prof Babu Jattakar will be participating in the three-day interaction with the achievers program of the Chitrakala Shilpi Shri DV Halabhavi National Memorial Trust. The three-day exhibition of his paintings is scheduled from 20th August to 22nd August. The lecture-cum-demonstration is slated for 21st August, while the interaction is scheduled for 22nd August. Bengaluru: Veteran artist K G Lingadevaru's painting exhibition titled 'Shunya' kicked off at the Indian Institute of World Culture here on Friday amidst thronging crowds of students, friends, admirers, and well-wishers. The opening day was devoid of any formal inauguration ceremony or related activities. Viewers shower  praise:  By and large, it was a well-attended maiden day for the painting exhibition, with participation from art lovers and enthusiasts, who are usually seen at  such junctures. Bengaluru:  Nature in Abstraction is the concept of Sushil I Tarbar's landscape cum abstract paintings exhibition, currently underway at Gallery No 1 in Karnataka Chitra Kala Parishat, here. An unusual combination:  Prof Babu Jattakar, former principal of the College of Fine Arts, Karnataka Chitra Kala Parishat and well-known artist, inaugurated the exhibition by lighting the lamp. He showered praises on the artworks on display and opined that, usually, you find neither landscape paintings nor abstract paintings. However, Sushil I Tarbar has given a different visual treat altogether by combining both landscape and abstract formats.
