K G Lingadevaru Presents 'Shoonya' Paintings Exhibition

Bengaluru: Bengaluru-based sexagenarian artist K. G. Lingadevaru is holding the 'Shoonya' paintings solo exhibition at the Indian Institute of World Culture, here from 07th August. The exhibition is slated to continue until 16th, and it is open for public viewing from 11 am to 07 pm.

An alumnus of the Kalamandir: K. G. Lingadevaru, born in Kadabagere, Bangalore District, Karnataka, in 1963, studied GD Arts from Kalamandir School of Arts in 1986.

Six solo exhibitions: He has held six solo shows in various galleries in Bangalore, Jahangir Art Gallery in Mumbai, and many group shows across the country.

Various art camps: He has also participated in art camps offered by the Karnataka Lalitkala Academy and many private institutions across the country.

Lalit Kala Academy Merit Scholarship: He was awarded with Merit scholar ship from Karnataka Lalit Kala Academy in the years 1983 – 1985.

Varna Shri Award: He has also been awarded the Varna Shri Award 2022 from Karnataka Lalitakala Academy.

Kuncha Kala Nidhi Award: He was presented the Kuncha Kala Nidhi Award in 2015.

National Award: K. G. Lingadevaru is also a proud recipient of the " National Award " from Pondicherry Art Academy in 2017.

Indian Royal Academy Award: He has also bagged the Mysore Kala Mela Award in 2004, and the Indian Royal Academy Award in 2004 & 05 and many more such awards.

Collections in India and abroad: His works are in various private collections in India and abroad. He currently lives and works in Bengaluru.
