You are at the Right Place at the Right Time in Your Timeline as Destined by the Universe

By Dr. Devan*

There is no such thing as a coincidence in the grand design of life. Every step you have taken, every detour you thought was a mistake, every delay that frustrated you, and every encounter—pleasant or painful—has been an essential thread in the fabric of your journey.

You are neither late nor early. You are exactly where you are meant to be, in the precise chapter of your life’s story, on the exact page written for you by the silent hand of the universe. We often worry about whether we have missed opportunities or taken the wrong turns. But the truth is, the universe has its own geometry—its timing and alignment.

The people you meet, the challenges you face, and the lessons you learn are synchronised with your readiness to receive them. You could not have met certain people before you grew enough to understand them. You could not have handled certain blessings before you developed the capacity to hold them. And you could not have faced certain challenges before you gathered the inner strength to endure them.

When we truly grasp this, peace follows. You no longer compare your timeline to anyone else’s, because you understand that each person’s path is unique. Someone else’s success at 25 does not make you late at 40. Someone else’s relationship at 30 does not mean you’ve failed at love if yours blooms at 50.

Your destiny has its rhythm, and the universe is never in a rush. Even the moments that feel stagnant are part of the plan. Seeds spend months underground before sprouting. Rivers take winding paths before they meet the ocean.

Likewise, you may feel stuck or delayed, but unseen growth is taking place within you. When the right alignment comes, what seemed impossible will fall into place effortlessly. So, trust your current position. You are at the right place, at the right time, in your unique timeline—not a moment too soon, not a second too late.

Everything is unfolding exactly as it should. And when you look back years from now, you will see that this moment, too, was perfect in its place.

Basavanna: Equality, Humanity and Human Rights

Bengaluru: Akshaya Trutiya is the birthday of Lord Basaveshwara or Basavanna, the 12th-century revolutionary poet and religious reformer who rebelled against all blind beliefs, practices and rituals of Hinduism. It also goes to his credit of bringing God to one’s palms while simultaneously and vehemently opposing the tradition of visiting temples and places of pilgrimages in search of the almighty. Interestingly, unfortunately, or sadly what his followers or disciples have been doing all along would be another separate topic for discussion and better to forget for the time being. A Hindu Protestant: Dr Godwin Shiri, former Director of Christian Institute For The Study Of Religion And Society (CISRS), Bengaluru, during an informal interaction, opined-“Basavanna can be aptly described as a Hindu Protestant as he was in the forefront of opposing blind beliefs”. Influenced by Buddha: Mallikarjun G Kelagade, former Director of the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) kee...
