Nutrition courses to generate employment and holistic health

The city-based WEEFA Wellness Solutions Private Limited organization known for marketing organic products and creating awareness about a healthy lifestyle is now set in to launch a variety of nutrition courses for the unemployed youths, doctors and teachers. Ravindra Prasad, Business Consultant of Weefa disclosed the plans on the way in this connection.

Two million graduates jobless: Giving a graphic detail about the present scenario, Ravindra Prasad informs: “It is important to ponder about the number of job creations we will be able to generate with the help of these courses. According to the information available, over two million graduates are jobless and likewise the case of Postgraduates. Usually, most of them are compelled to do menial jobs to pull on. I have seen a number of youths, BA and B Com graduates driving autos. This is the paradoxical situation prevailing as we are not giving a platform to Saraswati after completing their education…

…Job creation concern of the nation: In earlier days, becoming a graduate was a big achievement but now no one cares for a degree holder. And it is the concern of the nation also to create jobs. Keeping that in mind, we are planning to reach out to these segments of society. A nominal fee will be charged and one will become a graduate in Nutrition within a time frame of two or three months. After successful completion of these online courses, one can start practising pan India by charging about Rs 1,000/- per consultation. If they are able to spend one to one and a half hours with one person, they can easily earn Rs 2,000-3,000/- every day. Multiply the same with 25-30 days, they will be able to be paid on par with any IT professional, which is the whole idea”, he says.

Contribution to a healthy India: “Secondly with the launch of the proposed courses, along with employment generation we would also be able to contribute to a healthy India. If three persons are getting transformed every day, you can imagine the total reach within a span of a couple of years. I have kept a target of two lakh target in three years' time. So, every day about six lakh people will be getting the benefit of transforming their lives. This is the platform we are building to improve the health of the nation…

…Savings on unnecessary expenditure: Not only that, but we have also made a rough calculation on the number of unnecessary expenditures people are into, they have been spending on pharmacy, and doctors. How much money they have been spending on the doctors. In fact, they don’t have to. Even in rural villages, as I mentioned, generally they don’t go to the doctors. If children develop a cold and cough they keep quiet and automatically such symptoms will go off. Only in the worst scenario, do they visit the doctors. In the present circumstances, we all need to adopt such practices. In a way, if one gets cold, wheezing or running nose, it is good as our Nutritionist might have explained to you. It is not letting any bacteria or viruses enter your lungs, or body which is good. Why do you want to stop it”, suggests Ravindra Prasad.

Aim to make the nation economically strong: He also elaborates further-“This is how we will be training the candidates to help people improve their lives and thereby aim to make the nation economically strong and remains healthy. And at the same time, the major thrust would also be to create jobs for our own unemployed youths”.

Doctors to be taken into confidence: Ravindra Prasad says-“The second division as I mentioned is the doctors. They also need to be taken into confidence as they are the people who have a say on people falling sick. The graduates to be trained as Nutritionists are for primitive things. They will meet people having diabetes, blood pressure, thyroid and so on and help them to come out from these disorders and not ailments within a period of three months or so. In fact, we don’t call them sick people as the sick people are those who need to take a doctor's consultation. That is the time when the doctors can advise the diet, and what to eat along with the medicines. We are not telling doctors, don’t give medicine, and whether let it be allopath or anybody else. We respect their profession and the amount of time to study that and we are not going to stop it…

…Prescribe a diet: All you need to do is just like in the olden days when you go to a doctor, the doctor used to tell which I remember even to this day. They used to suggest the diet, give bread, give milk, give gruel but don’t give rice. That was an important aspect for the medicine to work; otherwise, medicine itself will become a toxin inside the body without proper food and doctors know it very well. But, these days I haven’t heard any doctors talking about the diet”, he points out.

Not stopping allopathic doctors: When inquired about the prevailing scenario wherein doctors are notoriously known for recommending a repeated series of tests, scans, x-rays and what not only to meet their billing targets, Ravindra Prasad informs-“Allopath doctors are one aspect, they are insecure when this kind of things are coming. But, if you talk about Homeopathy, Ayurveda, Unani, Sidda, and Naturopathy among others, they are not as popular as allopathic and these people don’t have money to spend on publicity. They are the ones who will be coming to our programs, but at the same time, we are not stopping the allopathic doctors. Of course, not many of them will like it…

…Allopathic doctors discourage reverse: In most ailments, it is not possible to reverse it because medicines are manufactured likewise! So, you will have to live with them. They don’t agree that with food and diet anything can be reversed. On the other hand, they discourage any such thoughts”, he opines.

BP and Blood sugar disorders and not diseases: On the grave necessity of proclaiming to the society that BP and Blood sugar are disorders and not diseases, Ravindra Prasad reiterated-“That’s what we are doing now. Suppose, if this course comes up, lakhs of nutritionists will also come out, who in turn will be helping the people to come out from the clutches of such disorders. According to our calculations, if I am taking two lakh people in three years' time and assuming that these trainees will be counselling a minimum of three persons every day, which means six lakh people are coming to know that they are reversing their health practices. And at least five to six people in the family circle will come to know that health can be reversed even other than taking English medicines. Such awareness is bound to come and this shall start momentum from day one itself.

He was 69 years old and not at all an age for his generation to bid adieu. Walks to Death: Paul Cardoza was a little bit hefty for his height and age; otherwise there were no visible symptoms to hint of any ailments he had been challenged with. Even on the fateful day, he attended to the chores in the hotel until the afternoon before proceeding to neighbour Hubballi for a cardiac test. It is said that he literally walked to the health check-up facility to undergo the examination. No, he was not destinated for it as he suffered a massive stroke and never to recover! A jovial personality: In the passing away of Paul Cardoza Dharwad has lost one o
