CDSIMER Celebrates Doctors Day 2026

Bengaluru: CDSIMER celebrated Doctors' Day 2026 with great enthusiasm at the CDSIMER Auditorium, recognizing the invaluable contributions of doctors to society and healthcare.

The program was chaired by Dr. Ashok A.C., Director, CDSIMER, in the presence of Dr. Jayachandra, Deputy Director, Dr. Prashanth Kumar M., Dean and Principal, and Dr. Madhu, Medical Superintendent. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Dr. Shrinivas K.V.

As part of the celebrations, the prestigious Excellence in Health Care Award 2026 was presented to Dr. Shiva Murthy N., Professor and Head, Department of Pharmacology, and Dr. Anil Kumar H., Professor and Head, Department of General Medicine, in recognition of their outstanding contributions to patient care, medical education, and academic excellence.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Ashok A.C. highlighted the recent establishment of the state-of-the-art Wellness Clinic and Corporate Health Check-up Centre at the CDSIMER Hospital. He encouraged faculty members, staff, and the public to make use of these facilities for regular health screening and preventive healthcare, emphasizing the importance of maintaining good health.

Dr. Ashok also encouraged all departments to organize state and national conferences through their respective professional societies, utilizing the vibrant academic environment at CDSIMER to promote scientific exchange, knowledge dissemination, and skill enhancement.

He specially appreciated the efforts of Dr. Shiva Murthy N. for successfully organizing MPSCON 2026, describing it as a model conference that showcased high academic standards and excellent organization. He encouraged other departments to emulate this model while planning future academic events.

The celebration concluded with a renewed commitment from the faculty and healthcare professionals to uphold the highest standards of patient care, medical education, research, and community service, in the true spirit of Doctors' Day.
