The worldwide human population is still growing. Here are the main figures and how they translate to a daily rate:
The global population growth rate is about 0.85% per year right now.
A growth rate of ~0.85% on a base of about 8 billion people is roughly 68 million additional people per year (8 billion × 0.0085 ≈ 68 million). Wikipedia gives ~70.4 million per year.
If 68 million people are added per year, then per day that is roughly:
68,000,000 ÷ 365 ≈ 186,000 people per day.
Therefore: the net change globally is an increase of about ~180,000 people per day.
