Highest votes in hometown:
The highest number of votes polled by Dr K Padmarajan so far was 6,273 in his hometown Mettur during the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections in 2011. Unlike all contestants for any polls winning is not to be found in his wildest dreams for he triumphs in being known as the world's biggest election loser. He has lost elections across the country in Assembly, Council, Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha, and to the positions of Speaker, Chairman, Vice President and President of the nation!

Victory in participating:
He proudly proclaims that for him victory is in taking part in the elections and as he is sure of his defeat he also takes it to his stride happily. Dr K Padmarajan is least bothered about the tantrums being made against him for having developed the habit of contesting incessantly.

Role model in creatiing awareness:
Dr K Padmarajan proudly proclaims-"Among all the jobs, fighting elections is the most important one. Many people shy away to come forward to contest. On the other hand, I want to be a role model in creating awareness and also maintain detailed records of the nomination papers, and identity cards of each failed bid apart from laminating and safe keeping".
