Bengaluru: Mallikarjun G Kelagade, former Director of the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR), Government of Karnataka, has completed the one-year Diploma Course in Pali at the age of 75! He has scored 403 out of 500. From the Pali Institute, Kalaburagi: He studied the Pali language course at the Pali Institute at Siddhartha Buddha Vihar, founded by Mallikarjun Kharge, AICC President, in Kalaburagi. The institute offers a 12-month Pali language certificate and diploma courses. It also provides specialised, intense, and research-oriented training in Pali and Sanskrit. Urge to study Buddha's principles in Pali: Mallikarjun G Kelagade has made an in depth study on the life and preachings of Bhagavan Buddha.
