Dr Madhusudan KR calls for including Reiki in the list of alternative modes of treatments

Dr Madhusudan KR, an international expert on Reiki has called upon the state and central governments to include Reiki in the list of alternative modes of treatment. He feels that such a step will go a long way in treating lakhs of patients to find solaces, who otherwise are not being cured completely by other forms of medication.

Reiki left out from Ayush: Although the Union Government has brought Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy under the purview of AYUSH, however, Reiki continues to be leftover from the list. Interestingly, there are lakhs of Reiki practitioners across the country and the system is also said to have cured several chronic diseases.

Medical Graduate becomes a Reiki healer: In fact, Dr Madhusudan K.Ranebennur is a medical graduate specializing in the treatment of chest ailments. But, thanks to a peculiar problem he underwent and after failing to find a solution in modern medicine, he drifted away to Reiki healing. Now he is a successful Reiki practitioner for decades.

Surrender to Reiki after trying all other therapies: Dr Madhusudan KR used to develop a piquant problem of stomach bothering heavily after consuming rice and rice related products. The sensation was so severe that he used to feel as though his tummy is going to burst. He visited several specialists who suggested enough medications and investigations giving temporary relief but the problem continued forever. In search of permanent relief, he tried all possible therapies making no sense in reality. It was at this stage and at the suggestion of friends, that he found rescue in Reiki and pranic healing treatment.

Every problem comes with a message: Apart from dwelling on the woes of patients and finding no permanent solutions Dr Madhusudan KR makes an interesting analysis. For, he exclaims,” Every problem comes to you with a message. We tend to get upset whenever we come across a problem. Someone said, if you encounter a problem then you should welcome, give a seat and talk to it. You also need to find out a way out for overcoming the same. I started exploring only after I developed my stomach problem. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have learnt Reiki at all”.

Only patients know the pain: He becomes candid while mentioning the suffering one undergoes during any illness-“As a doctor, I used to go to treat Asthama patients during emergencies at odd hours. The gasping for breath used to be so horrible and pathetic to withstand. If we doctor ourselves felt so you can imagine the plight of family members. The patients used to feel better after giving the Bronchitis injection. The family members used to thank for the immediate relief and leave. But the sigh of relief remained only for a month or so. Again, the patients had to be rushed for the same complaint. These and other such developments perturbed me to seek alternative ways of healing through Reiki practice”.

Modern medicines only 250/300 years old: “The only reason why medicines became very popular though they are only 250-300 years old is it gives symptomatic relief. But for chronic conditions, up to three months, we call acute, three months to one year subacute and beyond one year are termed as chronic. For the acute stage, you have medicines. But for chronic disorders like Diabetes, BP, and Knee joints pain could be anything, unfortunately, medicines have failed. There is no permanent cure. In quick conditions, it has given relief but in chronic conditions, medicines have failed”, says Dr Madhusudan KR.

Reiki works at the metaphysical level: He asserts, “No doubt in the quick conditions medicines have delivered goods extraordinarily well but in chronic conditions, unfortunately, medicines have failed to heal. If medicines work at the physical level Reiki works at the metaphysical level. Medicines don’t work at the cause whereas Reiki works at the energy level”.

Medicines for exploitation: “The second thing is side effects. All medicines have side effects. As per the requirement, we need 90 medicines but there are more than one lakh preparations! This is not what I am stating but Pharmacologists, you open their book and you will get to know. When we need only 99 medicines, why then do we are having more than 99,910+ medicines? That is only for the exploitation of mankind and the Pharmacologists themselves admit it. Let it be as long as there is no side effect, but the fact remains that all medicines have side effects. There is not a single medicine which doesn’t have side effects because this is the limitation of the human brain”, cautions Dr Madhusudan KR.

People are made to swallow tons of unsafe drugs: He recalls, “Every now and then the government authorities keep proclaiming about unsafe drugs and banning the same. But these drugs were prescribed for more than 10 years. Some of them also happen to be for Leukemia, which is a blood cancer. All of a sudden you have resolved to ban, fine. But what about lakhs of people who have consumed tons and tons of such medicines? What compensation and relief are these hapless being given for no fault of theirs?

People made guinea pigs: Dr Madhusudan KR also feels, “Earlier when you introduced, you claimed that they were very safe drugs. People believed and consumed them for years and now you are disproving your own words. That means you took them for a ride, you have made people your guinea pigs. It’s okay if they suffer, hasn’t the faith been shaken? And what is the guarantee that tomorrow if another 200 drugs will not be banned? So what is to be considered safe today may become unsafe tomorrow?”

Reiki practised in 168 countries: Dealing with the relevance of Reiki in the current scenario, Dr Madhusudan KR becomes vocal in pronouncing-“In contrast to what is being prescribed in modern medicine, we give nothing in healing therapy. We just feel the aura and Reiki has been in use in 168 countries including the UK and USA. Not only that, it has been recognized as one of the organized therapies by the World Health Organization (WHO).

Paul Mamu becomes part of Dharwad's history

People originally from Dharwad and most of whom migrated decades ago elsewhere across the state, country and world in search of green pastures were in for a sudden shock since late evening on Monday. They all shared similar sentiments, fond moments and profound grief in the passing away of Paul Cardoza of the renowned Hotel PAUL’S at Vidyagiri. He was 69 years old and not at all an age for his generation to bid adieu. Walks to Death: Paul Cardoza was a little bit hefty for his height and age; otherwise there were no visible symptoms to hint of any ailments he had been challenged with. Even on the fateful day, he attended to the chores in the hotel until the afternoon before proceeding to neighbour Hubballi for a cardiac test. It is said that he literally walked to the health check-up facility to undergo the examination. No, he was not destinated for it as he suffered a massive stroke and never to recover! A jovial personality: In the passing away of Paul Cardoza Dharwad has lost one o
